How the Soap Calculator works
BEFORE TO START:
After purchasing the software, you will receive the download link and the license key via email.
To use the Soap Calculators correctly and to well understand all parameters, read the following few lines below.
1. RAW MATERIALS:
OIL 1 and OIL 2 Choose the Oils that you want to add in your blend.
If your oils have different Saponification Value, you can choose "ADD_OIL" and you have to set the Saponification Value (default is zero). If you force a Saponificaton Value, you can not change the oil from the menu: you have to restart the Soap Calculator.
FA 1 and FA 2 Choose the Fatty Acids that you want to add in your blend.
If your Fatty Acids have different Acid Value, you can choose "ADD_FATTY_ACID" and you have to set the Acid Value (default is zero). If you force an Acid Value, you can not change the oil from the menu: you have to restart the Soap Calculator.
2. QUANTITIES
In the Box “RAW MATERIALS BLEND” set the weight in Kg, of each raw material.
In the Box “CAUSTIC SODA” set the concentration % of your NaOH in Water.
In the Box “WATER” set the weight in Kg, if you want to add additional Water to your soap, otherwise leave “0”
3. SAPONIFICATION
In the Box “RECIPE BALANCE” you can see all the ingredients of your blends, in weight (Kg) and also in percentage (%).
In the Box “SOAP BALANCE of NEAT SOAP” you can see all the ingredients of your neat soap, after the Saponification/Neutralization.
In the Box “TECH SPECIFICATIONS” you can see TFM, Moisture and Glycerin in your soap.
4. FILLERS IN NEAT SOAP
In this pat you can add up to 6 Fillers:
n° 4 powder fillers: TALC, KAOLIN, S Filler A and S Filler B. For each filler set the weight in Kg that you want to add
n° 2 liquid Fillers: L Filler A and L Filler B. For each filler set the weight in Kg that you want to add. You have also to set the concentration % of your Filler in Water.
In the Box “SOAP BALANCE of FILLED SOAP” you can see all the ingredients of your filled neat soap, after the Saponification/Neutralization.
In the Box “TECH SPECIFICATIONS” you can see TFM, Moisture and Glycerin in your soap.
5. SOAP DRYNG
In the box “MOISTURE TO DRY/EVAPORATE” set the Quantity (Kg) of the Water that you want remove from the soap, by means a Vacuum Drying Plant or another system.
In the Box “SOAP BALANCE of DRYED SOAP” you can see all the ingredients of your filled neat soap, after the Saponification/Neutralization.
In the Box “TECH SPECIFICATIONS” you can see TFM, Moisture and Glycerin in your soap.
6. COSTS
In the box “Price V/T” set the cost of each raw material and fillers. You can set the price in your currency.
In the right part of the Box, you can see the cost of each Raw Material and Filler.
Under this Box you will see the cost of the Batch and the cost for 1 Ton of soap.
System requirements:

Desktop Microsoft Windows OS: Windows 10, Windows 11 and one of the following Microsoft Excel version:
  • Microsoft Excel 2010 SP2  (32/64 bit)
  • Microsoft Excel 2013 SP1 (32/64 bit)
  • Microsoft Excel 2016 (32/64 bit)
  • Microsoft Excel 2019 (32/64 bit)
  • Microsoft Excel 2021 (32/64 bit)
  • Microsoft Office 365 Excel.
Make sure that you have installed the latest service packs and updates.
